The Panasonic DMR-BW880 is a Blu-ray disc recorder with a 500GB internal hard drive and twin high-definition digital television tuners. It builds upon the older , adding DLNA media sharing over a home network, but we would have liked to see more extensive Internet features. It is several hundred dollars cheaper than the older model as well, which makes it a better proposition for buyers searching for an all-in-one media player. Read more

9.0/10Reviewer: maevans1969, CNET9 September 2010I purchased the DMR-BW880 after a great deal of searching around as it offered me the best range of playback options _plus_ dual tuners and Blu-ray. The setup was a breeze, when attached by HDMI to my Panasonic Vierra it downloaded everything it needed from the TV via Vierra Link .. classy stuff! The unit is a breeze to use, fast and responsive. The only drawback is the lack of WiFi for connectivity .. maybe Panasonic will release a USB WiFi connector for it. Read more
