Where the 70D really excels is in its Live View mode, where the Dual Pixel CMOS AF system comes into play and delivers fast and accurate focusing for both stills and movie recording in most types of lighting, from bright sunlight to artificially-lit indoor situations. Read more

This 20 megapixel camera uses dual pixel technology, designed to improve auto-focus performance in live view mode. The idea is to incorporate phase detection – the focus method used by DSLRs – and contrast detection – the method in compact cameras – into the one camera. Read more

The 70D is my 5th Canon and 3rd Canon DSLR, and each has improved on the previous model. It took me (70 y o) a little time to work out the functions which are set out a little differently from my 550 but on top of it now and extremely happy with the photo quality. Read more

Great features, relatively light weight, easy to find settings within the menu bar. Love the way the touch screen works to change any settings quickly and easily so I can take my shot if conditions change and I need to make an adjustment. Read more

Although I am an amateur in photography I am pleased with the purchase of the EOS 70D Canon camera especially using it in very low light conditions. It has stimulated me into experimenting and expanding into new areas of photography and experience new horizons. Read more
