Tough as old boots and about as heavy to match, the TG-810 is packed to the brim with features to complement its waterproof credentials. Just don't expect the GPS to work as promised. Read more

    • Tough as old bricks, Good screen, Decent image quality for a tough camera at low ISO levels
    • GPS takes a long time to get a signal, Video quality is pretty poor, Joystick can be fiddly

The Olympus Tough TG-810 is designed to resist the hardships of life in all kinds of places. It's dustproof, waterproof, scratchproof, smashproof, and freezeproof. It also has a GPS and digital compass built in. These specs come at a price, though — the Tough TG-810 is pretty heavy, bulky and has buttons that are sometimes difficult to operate. The 14-megapixel, 5x-zoom-equipped Olympus Tough TG-810 is built tough (as you would expect). Read more

    • Very sturdy, High quality LCD screen
    • Images are over-processed, Video quality is mediocre, Buttons and joystick are hard to use

Don't expect to geotag any spontanious moments. While initial slow sat fix is expected, GPS fix updates are also extremely slow. Currently the compass is reversed for E and W despite having the correct GPS region. Other features are great. solidly built, choice of navigation methods; tap or toggle, though easy to get errors with the toggle direction. Auto 3 photo panorama shots are easy with seemless joins. It is built like a brick. Read more

    • Very solid, easy panorama shots, tap navigation, good menu system
    • GPS VERY slow to update, Compass readings for E & W reversed
