The Archos 5 displays its videos and photos on its high resolution 800 x 480 pixels, 4.8" TFT LCD with 16 million colours touch screen. The memory capacity of the hard drive (depending on its product version) has 60GB, 120GB and 250 GB. Respectively it enables 80 Movies, 600,000 photos or 30,000 songs on its 60GB, 160 Movies, 1.2 million phoots or 60,000 songs on its 120GB and on its 250GB 300 movies, 2.5 million photos or 145, 000 songs. The operating system used is Linux. Its connectivity methods include WiFi (802.11 b/g) and USB 2.0. The Archos 5 supports video playback from these formats MPEG 4, WMV, M-JPEG.It supports audio playback from the following formats MP3, WMA, Protected WMA, WMA pro 5.1 and WAV. It displays photos that are in JPEG, BMP, PNG and GIF formats. The Archos 5 also records videos in NTSC/PAL/SECAM in MPEG-4 Avi format with stereo sound on a VGA resolution of 640 x 480 at 30 frames per second.It records audio with the optional DVR Station of optional FM remote and its built in microphone in WAV format. The music playback time is up to 22 hours, whereas the video playback time is up to seven hours. It uses a Lithium Polymer battery and charges via computer USB port or an optional external power adapter or charger. The system requirements are Microsoft Windows Vista, XP, ME, 2000 or higher, Mac OS X and Linux (with Mass Storage Device Support) USB 2.0 Interface. The sales package includes Archos 5 , Archos USB Calble, DVR Station Adapter, headphones, screen cleaning cloth, Quick Start Guide and legal and safety notice
