The Archos 605 WiFi features a 800 x 480 resolution screen that allows video and music playback which supports a various supported digital media format. It is capable of WiFi that is used for streaming TV shows or serials into the device or with an optional cable to the TV. It also allows upgrading to a higher capacity memory storage for storage of movies, videos and music.

The Archos 605 WiFi features a screen with a 800 x 480 resolution that is in PMP quality. It is touch screen based, that is operatable with finger or stylus. It allows the usage of an external memory , with its SD card slot. SD cards that are compatible can be used to share music, photos and movies. Photos can be viewed immediately once the SD card is in the Archos 605. The Archos 605 WiFi allos web surfing, recording TV shows and sharing of photos and music as well as videos. It comes intergrated with WiFi and with thw ARCHOS Content Portal, content can be downloaded wirelessy and direct into the Archos 605 WiFi. Music, TV Shows, and movies that are stored in the computer can be streamed. It comes internet ready and with the optional Web browser plug-in , users can surf the web as well as visit video sites like YouTube or DailyMotion. The Archos 605 WiFi allows up to 5 movies to be stored and played, in the format MPEG-4, WMV, protected WMV, MPEG-2, VOB and H.264 (with optional plug in). The folders and files can be managed from the device itself. TV shows and series can be recorded to the Archos 605 WiFi with an optional DVR Station Gen 5. Video sources such as satellite, cable boz , VCR and DVD player uses the MPEG-4 format. Up to 2,000 songs can be stored, files that are compatible are MP3, WAV, WMA and protected WMA, which can be organised with the ARCLibrary. The music files can be customised to be viewed whether by artist, album, type of music, title, as well as a created playlist. By utilizing the home or office WiFi , the digital media library can be shared.
