    Audio is probably the best thing the Zen has going for and Creative have spared no expense in making the Zen shine in this department. Between the clarity of the sound chipset and amount of control you have for environment and equaliser, you'll be quite pleased with what the Zen has to offer. Of course the software and control is another thing altogether. While skipping to and from tracks is easy, the DJ functionality is mediocre at best. Read more

    for those of you who have complaints about the screen... having missing pixels, rotten color, etc... you can do something: 1. Make sure that the player's battery is charged 2. Reset the player. Insert a thin object such a pin to the reset hole to reset the player 3. Change the player's display settings 4. Press the Menu/Back button. 5. Select System. 6. The battery life for audio playback is 30 hours and up to five hours video playtime. Connects via USB 2.0.

Features

The Creative ZEN features a 2.5" screen with 16.7 million TFT colour support that allows videos to be played as well as photos. It supports multiple audio formats such as MP3, WMA and non-protected AAC (.m4a). Music can be synchronized from iTunes Plus. It has five variations with a difference on its storage capacity, the Creative ZEN comes in 2GB, 4GB, 8GB, 16GB and 32GB. The Creative ZEN supports the usage of an expandable memory with the use of SD/SDHC card which can store videos, music as well as photos. Photo formats supported are JPEG, BMP, GIF, PNG and TIFF. The user interface can be customised with a wallpaper created by the user. It also features a built-in radio with 32 preset stations as well as an intergrated voice recorder that allows important meetings and voice memos to be recorded. Whilst the songs are being played, the user can view the photos simultaneously. The EQ is user customizable which allows the audio effects with the bass boost and smart volume to be changed. Users can display album art for the tracks. Its additional features include a calendar that can be synchronised with Microsoft Outlook or editted with the Creative Media Explorer. Besides this it allows users to customize their own alarm tone, where one can be set for any day of the week and a contact and task list. The connectivity method is via USB 2.0. The Creative ZEN utilises a built-in rechargable battery that provides 30 hours of music or five hours of movies.
