- Excerpt: Apple Mac is the computer brand of choice for many photographers. In my own studio I use a 13-inch MacBook, chosen for its light, compact and travel-friendly yet powerful attributes. However, the new 15-inch MacBook Pro has a little more screen real estate, and the advantage of a faster processor and a FireWire 800 port (13-inch MacBooks are USB 2.0 only).
