    The Toshiba Tablet AT100 "Thrive" is, well, not very vibrant. It does offer options that no other Android tablet does, but the base unit has a poor display and can't store large files. Read more

    • Full-sized USB port, HDMI port and SD card reader, User replaceable battery

    The touch screen can be a little challenging in that when navigating around the different apps it’s fine, but when I played fruit ninja it struggled to keep up with me as I attempted to cut the fruit in half. Not too sure if it was clunky fingers on my part, but when I was navigating around the desktop playing with various applications it didn’t’ seem to be a problem – therefore I’m not too sure if it was the game itself or the tablet.     I like the AT100. Moving from an iPad, the Android 3.0.1 OS is a bit flaky and almost every app I've downloaded to date has had a critical error and stopped. Probably a consequence of an open OS, less rigid moderation of apps in the marketplace and a rapid OS development programme that sees app updates lagging behind. The tablet, though heavier than either gen iPad is easier to hold than both. A ridged back and thicker profile make it less slippery and sharp edged. Read more
