These elements come together in enjoyable and interesting ways, and when you are surrounded by enemies, the tempo is quick and satisfying. You can slide along the ground and into a foe, which recalls the rocket sliding mechanic in 2010's Vanquish. While that game progressed at a breakneck pace that Bulletstorm never approaches, the similar mechanic here still produces moments of slick energy that culminate in spurts of blood and piercing shrieks. • Energy leash spruces up the action, Skillshot system constantly rewards you for stylish kills, Cool arsenal of weapons and moves, Outdoor environments look fantastic.
    • The excessive profanity stops being funny very quickly, A lot of predictable shooter cliches, Limited, buggy multiplayer.

It makes it so close, yet so far in so many categories, which is surprising for a title that supposedly revels in its balls-to-the-wall attitude. I feel the best way to score it, is to embrace its “three quarters of the way there” mentality and mark it accordingly. Bulletstorm is by no means a bad game, but somehow still leaves you disappointed by the time you reach the final act. Read more

Bulletstorm's best gag is that it'd be light years better if it didn't attempt to have any story at all. The story it does have is so clichéd they could almost credit Home Brand, and a large portion of the humour is written for 14 year olds. The skillshot system, the leash and the core game though - it's a fresh and interesting take on the FPS genre. Read more

In a genre that take's itself way to seriously at time's meet a game that is a seven hour tribute to the F word that word being FUN , make no mistake this game has more in common with Duke Nukem than Halo and really is that such a bad thing ? Forget about your characters motivation just blow s*** up ! the skill shot's are cool just when you think you've seen all the move's the game has to offer POW ! Read more
