Closing Comments Playing Magicka isn't about going through the motions with a control scheme you've used a thousand times before. It requires some reflex training that can reward you with wildly entertaining success on the field of battle. Learning how to cast magic in Magicka is a lot like learning to type. You take it one key at a time, pausing between each tap to consider whether you're proceeding correctly. It's a slow, deliberate process, but it's encouraging because the feedback is instant, whether positive or negative. In Magicka, tapping out memorized keystrokes results in frosty land mines, electric steam beams, icicle machine guns and goblins popping like balloons filled with spaghetti sauce. Read more
As much as you may want to like Magicka: Vietnam for the audaciousness of its setting, the actual jungle action leaves a fair bit to be desired. Overly high difficulty, the inability to save your progress, and the unfair nature of being killed by random lucky shots from offscreen make the two maps here more annoying than they should be, unless you're playing cooperatively with friends. This DLC pack has its moments, but it's really only for diehard Magicka fans. Read more

I look at as a "proof of concept" more than a real game to be honest, but i didn't play through the whole game. I decided to wait and get the bugs fixed before i bothered. I got the game from steam and have noticed 3 or 4 patches so far but, haven't tried to play it for now.
