The world has been altered and will never be the same again, but once you come to grips with the new world order Cataclysm is a great step for World of Warcraft and is a solid building block for the future of the game. Read more

It’s a triumph of the art and it deserves the critical acclaim which will undoubtedly be heaped upon it (except, perhaps, from the WoW forum warriors - but there’s no pleasing them). If you’re at all interested in getting into WoW, now’s the best possible time to try it out or to return to an abandoned character you played some time ago. Bravo, Blizzard, Bravo. Read more

In Cataclysm, players will witness the face of Azeroth being altered forever, as the corrupted Dragon Aspect Deathwing awakens from his subterranean slumber and erupts onto the surface, leaving ruin and destruction in his wake. As the Horde and Alliance race to the epicenter of the cataclysm, the kingdoms of Azeroth will witness seismic shifts in power, the kindling of a war of the elements, and the emergence of unlikely heroes who will rise up to protect their scarred... All five of the high-level Cataclysm zones (as well as many of the low-level zones that were revamped prior to Cataclysm's release) make extensive use of the phasing technology that was introduced and used sparingly in Wrath of the Lich King. As you progress through each zone's quests, your actions have an impact on the world around you that, though dramatic in your instance of the zone, are visible only to other players who have completed the same quests that you have. Expansions for WoW are not going away. If the leaked timeline is anything to go by we'll be seeing at least another two in the next few years. I'm looking forward to seeing what they do, seeing what lore they cover and what happens to the evolving story of Azeroth, what new features are added. I have been very impressed by what they're offering in this expansion, and have genuinely enjoyed playing it. Read more

I have been playing world of warcraft since 2006 Classic and TBC were the best years of WoW. Shortly after the release of WOTLK I stopd playing didn't know if I would ever go back to playing. Recieved an email inviting me to play the "Cataclysm" beta and figured i'd try it out. Cataclysm has new engines for water effects, new mounts and level cap. Read more
