Scoring this game is a bit of a tough one - the gameplay is great yet in many ways familiar. The Star Wars story is well-known yet (for me) still jars as the newer, fresher sibling of an iconic original. Closing Comments LEGO Star Wars III is fun on PC, working well with both the keyboard controls, as well as a gamepad. The atmosphere is downright adorable, and the use of the license is excellent. Most importantly, though, the various types of gameplay that the developers have thrown together may not be all that amazing on their own, but the elements work together to create a well-paced, easy-to-understand game that is good fun for anyone. Developer Traveller's Tales' LEGO games have never succeeded because they had the best puzzles or incredibly satisfying combat. In fact, in these regards, they were usually pretty mediocre. But they made up for the lack of awesome gameplay with adorable aesthetics and great use of the license. Read more
Cooperative play elevates every part of this adventure to a higher level. The pacing and control issues aren't nearly as damaging with a friend by your side, and two brains can figure out the obtuse puzzles more quickly than one. If you're feeling feisty, you can challenge your friend in head-to-head matches in the RTS mode, and that provides mild entertainment for a little while. Read more
Traveller’s Tales and LucasArts have apparently never experienced an intellectual property they did not see fit to translate into a child-friendly video game with Lego -block aesthetics. From Indiana Jones to Batman , Harry Potter to Star Wars , it is only a matter of time before gamers are graced with Lego Twilight , replete with a sullen little plastic Edward Cullen as one of four-hundred playable characters.
