    Resistance 3 had a lot to live up to, with the first title sitting at 86% on Metacritic and its 2008 sequel on 87%. Many franchises tend to fall off by their third title, but this game is completely at home on the PS3 and is a perfect all-round title due to its commitment to the basics. Story and fun guns usurp flashy new innovations every time. Five stars. Read more

    Joeseph Capelli killed Nathan Hale. Dishonourably discharged, he leaves the service and finds happiness of a sort with his wife and child in a small community, mostly underground, hiding from the Chimera, eking out a living in warrens beneath an agricultural town. Naturally, it wouldn’t be an epic blockbuster first person shooter if something bad didn’t go down, which is to say, something worse than finding yourself living in a world where 90% of humanity has been killed...     Resistance 3 gets a whole lot right with a handful of clever development choices that help it to stand out in the largely predictable first-person shooter market. Even so, some of that first-person shooter unoriginality remains meaning Resistance 3 never quite reaches its true potential. All the boxes are ticked and it works, but its retro-inspired design also means Resistance 3 is an enjoyable game that can never quite get where it wants to be. Read more

    To deal with these diverse enemies, you must stretch your arsenal to the limits, and this creates an engaging sense of improvisation. This feeling is augmented by the fact that your health does not regenerate automatically.     Although the r3 preview was short I am already excited about this game. This is simply a ps3 must have. If your a fan of fps's you will love this game. Resistance in my opinion is the best ps3 exclusive series. The single player campaign of previous resistance games were compelling and very fun. The campaign alone will be well worth the money. Online co-op and competitive modes are also included in this game. Read more

    Love the first two resistances. Really enjoyed this one too, just wanted the single player campaign to go a lot longer. I love that your weapons upgrade giving you better zoom, accuracy, ammo. Also can choose to continue to use upgraded weapons if you play thru the campaign again. AI is rock solid - they still dodge bullets and run straight at you when you need to re-load. Multiplayer maps are good - loads of them and each has they disadvantages and advantages. Read more
