Motorola’s Xoom was the first tablet to be released running Android 3.0 (a.k.a. Honeycomb), which has since been updated to 3.1. It’s a product that came with a few rough edges; Android 3.0 was occasionally prone to crashes, the microSD port was disabled and it was a little heavier and a little thicker than the competition. It was (and is) also extremely expensive. Read more

With Telstra's price drop and Android 3.1, the Xoom becomes a little more competitive. We take another look at the first Honeycomb tablet. Read more

I imported a Wi Fi model from New York 6 weeks ago for $630. It got the 3.1 update a week ago. It has fixed all the bugs. The OS seems more snapier and the UI is alot more fluent. Flash 10.3 uses the GPU for hardware acceleration. It is trully a fantastic experience. It has USB and HDMI ports which the Galaxy Tab lacks. It has a full web experience with Tabbed browsing and accelerated flash which the Ipad lacks. Read more

    • 3.1 update makes it polished and complete
    • Only 10 hours battery life
