If you like survival horror games and you have a Wii, buy this immediately. Buy a second copy in case the first one wears out. If you don't have a Wii, hire one to play this. It's that good. Just don't play it alone - it's that good. Read more

Throughout the years, the Silent Hill franchise has gradually lost focus of its psychological roots and moved instead toward an ultimately subpar, more action-oriented experience. Shattered Memories is a fantastic return to the core concept of personal fear, and though its developers made some unorthodox decisions--such as removing combat entirely--those decisions have paid off handsomely. • Deeply emotional story with great pacing, Incredibly haunting atmosphere, Your experience depends on how it profiles you.
    • Far too short, Puzzles and nightmares are always the same.

Immersive, scary and completely enjoyable experience. This is an excellent title and I heartily encourage anyone who has played previous Silent Hill games to give this a go. The control scheme is also one of the most intuitive and well thought out of a Wii game I have played. Pros Awesome control scheme, wonderful immersion and a truly atmospheric title. Cons Bit predictable in parts and can be a little too wierd in parts. Also lacks replay ability. Read more

The act of removing a beloved creation from the caring supervision of its progenitors and tossing it into the clumsy mitts of strangers is always likely to rile fans of a videogame franchise. Such was the case with Konami’s Silent Hill series, which, after four games created by the now-defunct Team Silent, was unceremoniously dumped into the hands of Double Helix (responsible for last year's lukewarm Homecoming ) and Climax (2007’s reviled Origins ). After the flaccid reception for Silent Hill: Homecoming, Konami has handed the reigns of its deliciously dark horror opus to UK based developer, Climax Studios and the result is nothing short of inspired; here is a developer weaving frights, delights and ingenuity into what some thought was a defunct franchise, and all on Nintendo’s little white box.
