    But if you’re looking for a modern Sonic game which stays faithful to its roots, is fun to play and is a worthy title on its own merits, look no further. Finally, Sonic Colours is that game we’ve been waiting for. Highly recommended, with few reservations. Read more

    This is illustrative of many of the inconsistencies in Sonic Colours, but it’s still a remarkable game, one that’s too good to be a Wii exclusive. Perfect for old-school Sonic fans. Read more

    Sonic had a rough few years. After the mascot had his golden era on the SEGA Genesis during the early 90s, the publisher had a hard time finding its footing with the Blue Blur, putting out games that have ranged from terrible to… well, bearable, but never quite good. Read more

    Closing Comments Sonic Colors is a dizzying combination of the distantly familiar memories of the first few Sonic titles combined with thoughtful new abilities and mostly well executed level design. There are a few issues that mar an otherwise awesome experience, but those shouldn't stop Sonic fans and Wii owners from grabbing the best Sonic game in 18 years. As a blueprint for the future of SEGA's star, Sonic Colors delivers, and then some. Read more
