It’s a shame because I can see the potential in BRINK , and there are definitely quite a few unique ideas – and some which are clearly sampled – which, if they’d been pulled together properly and worked on would have made for a great game experience. Unfortunately, they don’t, and the game is simply nowhere near what FPS fans expect at this point in time. Two stars. Read more

Bastion is one of the best downloadable games this year, but I didn't believe it right away. From the first time I saw it, I knew that the game was witty -- as evident from the narrator who literally narrates just about everything you do as you do it -- but Bastion was still just an action role-playing game. I moved through an area with my two weapons, shield, and special attack. No big deal. Read more

Closing Comments When I beat Bastion for the first time, I reloaded my save and played through for the second ending. When that was done, I started my new game plus. I'm not the repeat type of gamer, but Bastion's leveling, weapon upgrades, and difficulty tweaks are just too gosh-darn addictive. The story could've been better, but it doesn't matter. This game is amazing and you owe it to yourself to download it. Read more

I can't stress enough how much better Brink would have been had it had no cutscene-heavy story, or if it had even scrapped the single player entirely. The plot is fundamentally solid; an isolated idealised city called “The Ark” is collapsing under its own weight with perpetual battles between rebels and security forces. Read more

By the above statement I refer to new IP's not existing ones with sequels releasing this year. The below preview is based on information released by the developers. It does not take into account any changes made to the gameplay that has not been released to the public At first glance the concept for this game may not appear that orginal. Set in the near future the earth is dying from overpopulation. Read more

Well said fatdog. This game is much better on PC. It does deserve more the 5 points. I give it a 7.5. If Splash Damage give it some good support with solid patches, new maps and some tweaks then it will be a 8/10 game. There is a patch due out this week and more on the way from the info given. So not long to wait. Everyone can tell that Gamearena are reviewing consoles games only now days. That is sad because this place was supported mainly by PC gamers. Read more
