Child of Eden is definitely worth checking out. It won’t be to everyone’s taste, but if you can find a way to try it out before buying, then you may be surprised at just how much you get into it. Read more

Closing Comments It's rare for me to play a game and feel nothing but happiness, but that's what happened when I stepped in to save Eden. In a way, Child of Eden touched my soul. Yes, that sounds cheesy, but it's true. There's one downside -- even though it costs 50 bucks, Child of Eden can be beaten in only a few hours. While this is a fault, there are lots of unlockables and leaderboards to keep people's interest once the campaign is over. Read more

There's something about Child of Eden that makes people shut up and fixate on the screen. It could be because you're entranced by the colors bursting artfully in tandem with upbeat techno music or just the thought of, "Holy crap, am I tripping right now?" Either way, this is a title that people take notice of and for good reason. Read more

Lately, video games haven't felt like games to me. They've felt like extensions of Hollywood, full of violence and explosions and not much substance. Or they've felt like tools to keep the music industry afloat. Or, at their very worst, addictive time sinks designed to fleece money out of you. Fortunately Child of Eden has arrived, and it's a game that completely absorbs you when you're playing it. A game which makes you laugh for no reason when playing it. Read more

Child of Eden is a bold artistic experiment that's also accessible and fun. It's easy to pick up and play, offers bursts of pure joy, and is even a pleasure to watch others play. It's over quickly, but the amount of unlockable content means it's something you can keep coming back to. Ultimately, if you value novelty and emotional engagement in your games, you'll find Child of Eden a memorable and rewarding experience. Read more

    • Beautiful visuals, Incredible soundtrack and audio effects, Kinect and standard controller offer different experiences.
    • Doesn't take long to reach the end credits, Kinect controls can be cumbersome.
