If it weren’t for these problems, this would definitely be a 5 star play and is probably in line to win Game of the Year, but there’s a lot that prevents it being perfect. However, Deus Ex offers the open-ended experience a lot of gamers always beg for, in an awesome, futuristic setting with amazing energy weapons and movie references and neo-noir elements that are almost endlessly pleasing. H uman Revolution is a game that carries a heavy burden. Being a spiritual sequel to the 2001 success Deus Ex, the expectations of fans loyal to the original bear down on it from all directions. The Missing Link's greatest triumph might be that it doesn't end with a typical boss fight. Such battles were properly maligned in Human Revolution for being out of place and not much fun. Instead, the add-on concludes with an entertaining and roomy battle that might serve as a test of your gunning skills, your sneaking prowess, or your hacking expertise--or a combination of them. If you go into Human Revolution expecting an RPG you will most likely be disappointed. Human Revolution is a light RPG at best but more accurately it is a FPS with the odd conversation and some choice in how you go about things. The repercussions of the choices that you make are minimal and despite the choice, the game is very linear. Nothing that you chose to do or not do has any meaningful impact on the game or causes the storyline to branch. Read more
